International Law Moot Court Competition
The International Law Moot Court Society of Faculty of Law of Universitas Indonesia (ILMS FH UI) is a student organization in Universitas Indonesia which facilitates students in international moot court competitions. Each year, the organization sends multiple teams to participate in prestigious varsity moot competitions in the United States, Europe, South Korea, and more.
The goals of ILMS FH UI include proliferating international law mooting (both in public and private sectors), developing professional skills in research, writing, oral advocacy, and international networking. ILMS realizes that moot court competitions shape essential skills for law students eager to get hands-on legal practice experiences, in-depth knowledge on international law, and legal English—all skills that are sought after for their future careers.
ILMS provides workshops, trainings, and selections for students who wish to participate in its moot court competitions. Each year, ILMS sends teams to competitions such as the Philip C. Jessup, Willem C. Vis, Foreign Direct Investment, International Maritime Law Arbitration Moot, the International Chamber of Commerce Mediation Competition, and the International Mediation Competition. These moots expose students to international legal communities and most importantly, maintain the legacy of FH UI’s achievements in the international plane.
